What is a Recovery Friendly Leader?
A Recovery Friendly Leader is a supervisor, manager, or other workplace leader who not only increases their knowledge of substance use, addiction, and recovery but also leverages that expertise to actively support and connect with employees in need. They work within organizations that prioritize recovery and well-being by adopting supportive policies, resources, and an inclusive culture. Most importantly, they put recovery-oriented solutions into practice, ensuring that the skills gained translate into real, impactful change in the workplace.
Why should I go through this training?
When substance use issues go unaddressed, the workplace suffers from higher absenteeism, decreased productivity, soaring healthcare costs, and increased turnover, all of which hit your bottom line hard. By sharpening your leadership skills, you’ll be able to identify early warning signs, combat stigma, and influence a supportive environment that not only reduces these costly impacts but also enhances employee well-being and drives overall organizational success.
What is the expected time commitment?
Our training program consists of 7 hours of instruction. For pre-scheduled virtual sessions, the training is delivered over two 3.5-hour days. For in-person or organizational delivery, you can choose from a single full-day session, two half-day sessions, or one hour per week over seven weeks. Each option also includes an optional 1-hour introductory session.
