Introduction to Substance Use, Addiction, and Recovery
In today's evolving workplace, understanding substance use and how employees experience it is more critical than ever to overcome the stigma and barriers that still exist for supporting employee recovery. Most people know someone who has had some interaction with a substance such as alcohol or drugs. These interactions can range from safe or experimental to compulsive behavior. Regardless of the nature of these interactions, it is important to recognize that substance use is very common, and each interaction carries the potential for increased use and related challenges in the workplace.
This educational workshop provides a comprehensive overview tailored specifically for workplace managers and leaders. Whether you’re looking to enhance your knowledge, create a more supportive work environment, or navigate the challenges of substance use within your team, this foundational session will equip you with the tools and understanding necessary to make a positive difference.
